7 Day Body Love Challenge

It’s important to give yourself and your body the same love you freely give to other people. Your body is worthy and deserving of love. If you don’t love your body today, please know that you are not alone. We have been at war with our bodies for a long time and it will take time to reestablish a new relationship.

If you have no clue where to begin your body love journey, I’d recommend starting with the 7 Day Body Love Challenge listed below! Don’t beat yourself up if you struggle to do and/or answer one of the actions listed. This is a guide to get you thinking about your body and to start rewiring your brain to look at your body in a different light. This doesn’t have to be perfect! Messy action is better then no action!

7 Day Body Love Challenge:

1. What does it mean to be “body positive”? We will talk about this theme all month, but what really matters is what it means to YOU. Come up with a definition that you can get behind.
2. What is one thing you LOVE about your body? If you’re feeling foxy, list as many as you want! If you need a bit of help, list one thing you like about your body. Still struggling? List one thing you don’t hate. We all have to start somewhere.
3. Share a scar or a mark with a beautiful backstory. Do you have a scar or a mark that is visible on your body? Write the story behind it – in a beautiful way. Maybe this story holds a lot of pain for you, but the story you write should still show something beautiful. If you need some help with this, check out https://www.instagram.com/wearenotbroken2019
4. Write about something your body has accomplished. Have you gone hiking in a beautiful place? Completed a 5k? Hula-hooped for a full minute? Write about it and pat yourself on the back.
5. What is something fun or unique about your body? Write about something that makes your body special.
6. Move your body. Try a restorative yoga video on YouTube, run or walk a mile, or go swimming.
7. Treat your body. Soak in a hot bath with a bath bomb, use a facial mask, or give yourself a pedicure.
