She Means Business: Women-Led Businesses and Organizations You Should Check Out

In these exciting times, women are seizing opportunities like never before!

More and more women, much like myself, are venturing into entrepreneurship and establishing their own ventures. It’s amazing to see all the new businesses and foundations run by women, each offering something special. Even though we still face challenges like gender inequality, limited funding, and an inadequate support system, we’re making progress and moving forward.

The growing number of women-owned and operated businesses and organizations is proof of our strength and capability! As we welcome the month of March, let’s celebrate Women’s History Month by shining a spotlight on these inspiring ventures and initiatives:

Creative Canvas Art Studio

First up, let me introduce my friend Sarah Dettman, a talented artist running her own studio. Sarah’s paintings are known for their bright, bold colors and are sought after in Dallas and beyond. I like how her work is beautiful and intricate without being intimidating. Her paintings can easily brighten any home and lift your mood.

If you’re subscribed to our March self-care box for women, you’ll receive one of Sarah’s stunning pieces that embody the strength and confidence of women. And if you’re eager for more, Sarah offers a variety of her works for purchase on her Etsy shop. From striking statement pieces to adorable 4×4 canvases perfect for your desk, there’s something for everyone. Check out her other works here!

We Are Not Broken

With society always wanting women to fit into certain standards, it’s lovely to have groups like We Are Not Broken reminding us that it’s okay not to be perfect. WANB is dedicated to empowering women and girls to share their scar stories, whether those scars are visible or not. They want women to own their narratives and see their scars as symbols of victory. Plus, they go the extra mile, providing a studio where women and girls can share their experiences through a photo and video shoot while getting pampered with professional hair and makeup.

Founded by the beautiful Nick Austin, WANB holds a special place in my heart. As someone with scars of my own, I understand the pressure to conform to society’s standards of beauty. I get how tough it can be to feel confident when you’ve got reminders of battles you’ve faced. That’s why I really connect with their mission. Kitty Meow Boutique

For all your paper goods needs, Kitty Meow is my ultimate recommendation! Founded by the fiercely talented Cat Hildner, this is my go-to shop for gifting and party essentials. Her designs are bold and empowering, encouraging women to embrace confidence and courage.

From greeting cards to cocktail napkins and beyond, Kitty Meow offers a range of badass products! You can also explore other awesome stuff like candles, pins, pens, keychains, and shirts. Whether you’re buying for yourself or stocking your shop, Kitty Meow’s goodies are a brilliant choice. Visit her site and see for yourself!

Midnight Paloma

Next on the list is my favorite skincare brand! Midnight Paloma, founded by the passionate Tayler Mariles, offers an impressive range of bath and body products made from 100% natural ingredients. Treat yourself to their deliciously scented goodies for some well-deserved me-time!

If you’re a subscriber of Passion & Growth, you already know firsthand how much I looove this brand and its extraordinary products! I’ve featured some of their must-haves in previous boxes, and they’ve always been a hit. Head over to their website to explore their range of heavenly body scrubs, indulgent bath soaks, innovative skin tools, and more.

Bloom Daily Planners

Another female-founded and run business that I am a huge fan of is Bloom Daily Planners! They create a bunch of cool stuff like planners (duh!), calendars, stickers, card decks and more. All are made to help you bloom into your best self. Plus, everything they make is just so pretty!

Bloom understands how life can be overwhelming. Their planners are designed to help you prioritize and make time for the things that make you happy. And when you buy their products, you can feel the love and thoughtfulness poured into each one. Learn more about them here.

Fierce Femme Shop

Last but definitely not least is my friend Lacey’s amazing venture! Fierce Femme Shop offers bold and fierce products that add personality to your day. From t-shirts to stickers and wine glasses, everything is designed to make a statement against the patriarchy.

And if you’re in Downtown Mesa, don’t miss the Fierce Hat Bar at various markets and events! It’s a haven for hat lovers who want to create their own unique style. You can pick a hat from their collection or bring your own, then mix and match belts, bands, and other accessories on the spot. It’s a fun way to showcase your individuality! These six are just a start! There are tons of other women-owned or run businesses and organizations out there that deserve our attention and support. When we back these businesses, we’re not only helping to level the playing field but also empowering our fellow women. Let’s make sure to show these businesses some love not just during Women’s History Month, but all year long.
